Fifa 18

FIFA 18 is a sports game which heavily focuses around the game of football. Its part of one of the largest and longest running video game series' ever. There are a couple of core modes on FIFA that are by far the most popular modes on the game.

In FIFA there is a selection of avatars you play as in the game. There is an option to play as your favourite team e.g. , West Ham and Crystal Palace, or as an individual player e.g. Alex Hunter or as a player designed character. Each of these avatars can only be used in specific modes e.g. Alex hunter can only be used in the Journey.

The world you play in in FIFA is a realistic closed world which is supposed to mimic a real life football match, but it has menus and is only set in this world when in a game. Although the world is supposed to be realistic game settings can be altered to make it a bit crazy.

The main goal in FIFA is to build an ultimate team with the best players. In other modes the target is to get your team promoted or win a cup like in career mode. In other game modes like kick off the main goal is just to win against the opponent.

FIFA is owned and produced by EA but as a result has to have a lot of publishing rights over all the players, so as a result EA have to work with many football organisations such as the FA, the premier league, LaLiga, FIFA and calico A.

The first FIFA to come out was FIFA '94 and started the wave of FIFA games which has been running for 25 years. They only really have this one franchise of FIFA but they did introduce a couple extra games like FIFA street and a world cup edition. Most of the game modes on FIFA act as their own game.

The marketing for FIFA is probably one of the largest for any game. As their is a new FIFA each year new ads have to be made each year. Many of these ads show off new game modes and players. Recently EA introduced Legends and women into the game which was heavily advertised.
