Cross Platform Advertising

In this essay I will be discussing what cross platform advertising is, the history of it and how it effects a company.

Cross platform advertising is advertising in all forms of media. Many companies and buisnesses want their products to reach many people using different forms of media. An example of this is social media and website advertising. Using pop up ads on youtube videos and websites , a company can have more exposure on a certain product or service. Advertising on all forms of media will attract a much larger audience also. Rather than just advertising on Tv or print, which has been on the decline for a long time, advertising on many forms of media makes it so more people will see the ads and there is more likely to be higher sales.



An example of cross platform advertising would be when a company shows an ad not just on one form of media but shows the same or similar ads on social media or in print also. A good example of these types of ads are the betfair ads. As well as appearing on TV and print they also come up as pop up ads on youtube videos and twitter.

Furthermore, when discussing this topic, make sure to highlight and describe the actual types of media platforms i.e. radio, TV, print etc . Lastly, always end an essay or piece of writing with a closing argument, what cons are there surrounding cross platform advertising? Cost is a huge one and you could have touched on this and explained the cost and profit side of cross platform advertising. Overall good start
